Our Leaders

Rick Taylor, President
Rick is responsible for leading the business development efforts for Balfour Beatty Capital in the U.S. and in Canada as well as for Balfour Beatty Communities. Under Rick’s leadership, Balfour Beatty Communities has grown to become one of the largest PPP providers of military housing in the United States. He has over 20 years of construction and civil engineering experience and holds a Master and Bachelor degree both in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.


 

Jeff Cangemi, Senior Vice President
Jeff specializes in business development efforts in education and renewable energy pursuits as well as other types of PPP with various government agencies throughout the U.S. A business manager with over 23 years experience in real estate acquisitions, development, construction management, finance and PPPs, Jeff received a BS degree from Miami University of Ohio and completed the Leadership Development Program from Columbia University Executive Education.



Mike Lloyd, Vice President
Mike specializes in project management, a field in which he has over 25 years of experience. Since 1998, he has bid, negotiated and operated over 20 PPP projects in the U.S. and the UK. He holds a UK MSc. in Construction and Project Management. Mike is dedicated to ensuring that clients receive a first class service and strongly believes that a successful PPP contract is based on a partnership.




Paul Hannan, Vice President
Paul is an experienced business development professional who specializes in identifying opportunities to provide innovative solutions for public infrastructure improvements via a Public-Private Partnership model. Paul's most recent success has been in the military housing privatization initiative, providing the design, build, renovation, financing and operation of military housing through a partnership with the United States Army, Navy and Air Force. His background also includes the development and management of senior housing and assisted living portfolios. Paul holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Drexel University.


Mark Jennings, Vice President, Finance
Mark Jennings is responsible for leading all financial aspects of project appraisal and financial structuring for infrastructure transactions across North America. He works with project stakeholders to ensure that client infrastructure needs are met via the use of public-private partnerships. Mark joins us from Balfour Beatty Capital in the UK where he has made a significant contribution to infrastructure investments projects including roads, street lighting, transmission, schools and hospitals. His most recent notable achievement was successfully leading transactions and structuring finance for Offshore Wind Farm Transmission projects. He holds a Masters Degree (with distinction) in Finance from London Business School. 
 

Susanna Han, Vice President
Balfour Beatty Capital - Canada
Appointed Vice President in September 2009, Susanna is leading the Balfour Beatty Capital initiative in Canada. Susanna brings a decade of project management and financial expertise to the Canadian marketplace. Before joining Balfour Beatty Capital, she served as Vice President, Project Finance at Carillion Canada where she led the company’s PPP financings. Susanna also spent five years as a Project Finance Manager for Balfour Beatty Capital in London and served as a Director in the Global Infrastructure Projects Groups for KPMG in Toronto. A chartered accountant, Susanna holds an Honour’s bachelor’s degree in Business from the Richard Ivey School of Business at University of Western Ontario.
